Built in 1955 and expanded in 1985, the City County Building encompasses 484,000 sq. ft. of facility space and houses several City of Madison and Dane County departments as well as 2 floors of dedicated jail space.

Built in 1993, the Public Safety Building currently encompasses 186,732 sq. ft. of facility space and houses the administrative functions and secured jail space for the Dane County Sheriff’s Department.
